As a Leading City Partner of EIT Urban Mobility, Smart Dublin recently attended the EIT Urban Mobility Community Days Event in Munich.
This event was another example of the ongoing close partnership between Smart Dublin and EIT Urban Mobility – from securing funding for pioneering projects, to invaluable knowledge exchange with other Cities – this collaboration continues to bring significant benefit to the Smart Dublin programme.
Our activities at the Event included:
- Participation in the City Club – a forum for nominated Cities across Europe to collaborate and advance innovation for Sustainable Mobility.
- Meeting with the other successful RAPTOR winners. Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council was recently awarded funding for their project to trial EV charging solutions for residents without driveways.
- A deep-dive into Munich’s Mobility strategy, gaining insights into how the city is moving towards a more sustainable transport future.
- A guided and hugely informative tour of the emerging cycling infrastructure in the city.
- Hearing about inspiring new startups at the “Meet the Changemakers” pitch session, showcasing new concepts from the EIT Urban Mobility Investment Portfolio.
