As part of the ‘Accelerating the Potential of Drones for Local Government‘ project, Dublin City Council conducted an online national survey to gauge public sentiment towards drones and emerging technology.
Over 900 respondents from across Ireland shared their views on the future of drones and other new technologies.
Findings include:
- 97% of respondents felt positive about the use of drone technology for Emergency Services
- 84% of respondents felt positive about drone technology overall
- Privacy Concerns were a top concern for 75% of respondents
- 60% felt that it would be essential that members of the public should be able to get information about drone flights openly
