The “Data Protection: Drone User Handbook” is a free to use resource, developed as part of Dublin City Council’s ‘Accelerating the Potential of Drones of Local Government’ Project.
The Data Protection Handbook is a resource designed to support local authority drone operators to meet data protection compliance.
Drones are increasingly used by local authorities. This resource is intended to help strengthen best-practice in the sector and support local authority staff to deliver better, safer and more efficient services.
The handbook was developed by Castlebridge, as part of Dublin City Council’s ‘Accelerating the Potential of Drones for Local Government Project’, funded by the Public Sector Innovation Fund. It can be found here.
The below video tutorial accompanies this handbook, with Daragh O’Brien, Managing Director of Castlebridge, explaining the handbook contents, outlining key data protection risks and best-practice.
