Access to quality information for better local governance

Back to Challenges

07/03/2016

Dublin needs more and better data to understand how people interact with their city services and to help the city run more efficiently.

Some of the issues we are currently exploring…

How can Dublin open up more public information, while protecting data privacy? How do we unlock the social, economic or environmental value of open data? How can we generate more and cheaper data? Can open data improve transparency in local government? How do we build an open data culture and encourage information sharing in the public sector? What kind of data and information do people want? How do we push out relevant information to people in real time? How can we improve participation and digital literacy?
